ECHOES OF THE FEMININE

1 October - 4 December 2026
Overview
Vedovi Gallery is pleased to present ECHOES OF THE FEMININE, a collective exhibition that explores how modern and contemporary artists represent the female figure, navigating multiple fluid dimensions. For many, it has provided a profound opportunity to celebrate and exalt beauty. At the same time, the selection ranges from this poetic and aesthetic idealization to the raw reality of the flesh, which is deeply marked by vulnerability and deconstruction. The curation also delves into the surrealist mirror of dreams and doubles, culminating in a deliberate sabotage of traditional codes to critique standardized beauty stereotypes. Ultimately, the exhibition reveals that the female body is far from a passive model; it is a powerful vehicle for expressing profound intimate, existential, and psychological truths.

The exhibition includes a selection of works by Jean Arp, Balthus, César, Urs Fischer, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Giacometti, Henri Laurens, René Magritte, Claude Lalanne, Henry Moore, Pablo Picasso, Germaine Richier, John Wesley.
